It is very difficult to play on lb2fort because the bots don't need light to see, and thus they don't carry flashlights and can ambush you out of dark hallways (your own flashlight can only do so much.)

Would it be possible to reconfigure the bot AI so that they will turn on flashlights, that way we can see them more easily and actually stand a chance on lb2fort?

lb2fort gets very little play because most people hate the map.
The few times it has been voted up most people leave within 5 minutes. It is essentially a server clearer.

One of the main reasons people seem to hate the map, based on what I have seen (pun not intended), is because the bots are at such an advantage.

Again, because they don't need light to see and thus don't use flashlights. If the bots could be recoded so that they will need light to see, then that would very likely be a different story.

What does the lb stand for anyway?

P.S.: Making the bots use flashlights would benefit everyone on other dark maps as well.

don't know what the lb stands for.

Omni would have to answer about what would be involved to get the bots to use flashlights. I don't know.

I don't know anything about the programming of the bots. Sorry there is no way I can make them turn on a flashlight. Sad

I was thinking lb2fort was out of the rotation.

So you couldn't just take the foxbot config files and have it automatically activate Impulse 100 every time a bot spawns?

I can interpret your post in two ways. If you mean let the players suffer, then that is still mean. If you mean let the bots suffer, they don't suffer. They can already see in the dark. Now if the bots magically lose the ability to see in the dark, then that is still mean of you because then they will suffer without flashlights... and if you want the players to suffer then making the bots suffer is the last thing you want. Same thing if you want the bots to suffer, becaues then making the players suffer is the last thing you want.

if they can see in the dark, they DONT need flashlights .... all they need is a pyro to burn them up and the scouts can eat them up, but only after there cooked Evil or Very Mad Pyro
